Use Safari for the complete installation path
MyFlixer works as a responsive website in current iPhone and iPad browsers. Safari provides Apple’s standard Add to Home Screen workflow. If the page opened inside a social, email or messaging app, use its menu to open the address in Safari first. Embedded browsers may omit the required Share action or store data in a different context.
Confirm the MyFlixer domain and blue interface before adding anything. A copied icon does not identify a website; the hostname does.
Add MyFlixer to the Home Screen
- Open the MyFlixer homepage in Safari.
- Tap the Share button in the browser toolbar.
- Scroll through the actions and select Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the MyFlixer name and icon, then tap Add.
- Open the new icon and test one search and one saved title.
If the action is hidden, edit the Share sheet actions or verify that restrictions do not prevent home-screen changes. Apple does not always call this process “install,” but the shortcut can launch the site as a focused web app.
Understand My List on Apple devices
My List uses browser-local storage and does not require iCloud or a MyFlixer login. A list saved in Safari may not automatically appear in another browser. Private browsing can discard storage, and clearing website data removes it. The home-screen app should be tested after installation so you know whether it shares the expected storage context on the current operating-system version.
For a family iPad, remember that anyone using the same unlocked browser profile may see saved titles. Remove individual entries from My List or clear only the relevant site data when needed.
Use AirPlay and provider applications
MyFlixer itself organizes discovery and opens watch-information routes. AirPlay availability depends on the final provider application, the title, the device and the receiving screen. After choosing a provider, use its player or native app to check the AirPlay control. Make sure both devices meet that service’s network and account requirements.
If playback opens in Safari but the provider offers a dedicated application, the destination may display an Open in App option. Confirm the app publisher before signing in. MyFlixer credentials are not involved because normal browsing has no account.
Fix display, search or storage problems
When the mobile menu does not respond, reload once and test whether JavaScript is blocked. If text is too small, use browser page zoom rather than system magnification that clips controls. On iPad, landscape mode can show more poster cards, while portrait mode may be easier for reading the long guide.
If My List is empty after reopening, check whether you switched Safari profiles, used private mode or deleted website data. Avoid erasing all Safari history as a first troubleshooting step because it can affect unrelated sites.
Keep the home-screen shortcut tied to the correct site
Apple’s icon and display name are conveniences, not proof of identity. Open the page in Safari and verify the MyFlixer hostname before adding it. If an unfamiliar page asks for a configuration profile, enterprise certificate or device-management permission, stop: those steps are not part of a normal Add to Home Screen installation.
Routine browsing should not require access to contacts, photos, microphone or precise location. Review Safari website permissions if a prompt appears unexpectedly, and remove only the questionable shortcut rather than changing unrelated device settings.
Choose something before moving to the television
A phone or tablet is often the easiest place to build a shortlist. Use Featured Titles, save two candidates and open their title pages. Once the decision is made, search the exact title in the chosen provider’s television application. This second-screen workflow avoids typing long queries with a remote while keeping the watch destination in control of playback.
